Our first topic of the academic year is almost completed! 1A have been exploring the concept of deforestation and its impact on the world. They discussed how we use plants from the forest and how deforestation could harm the world and animals. Finally, they created posters to warn against the effects of deforestation!

🌞 Year 1 Botanical Gardens Trip 🌞

Year 1 had a superb time exploring a variety of forest plants and some animals at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens! 

They explored the climate and smells of different forests and places around the world.

The children were lucky enough to spend time with James, who helped them to create some of their own land art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy, on the grounds of Botanical Gardens!

They ended the long day with a quick visit to the HUGE adventure play area!
