African Drumming
African Drumming Workshop
Year 1 had an exciting time today.
We learned how to play Djembe drums.
We played rhythms.
We even joined in an African call and response chant!
Trip to Wyre Forest
Year 1 had a fantastic time at the Wyre Forest.
Sarah and Jude told us interesting facts about the forest.
We collected different colours and textures from the forest floor.
We used natural found objects to create patterns in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.
We explored the forest and played on the playground.
What a great day!

ππ Fruity Fun! ππ
1A had a smashing time making fruit kebabs as part of our instruction writing unit in English! After making the healthy snack, the children wrote their own recipe to help others make them.
They couldn't wait until play! They enjoyed their delicious fruit kebabs as fast as they could...

π»πΆ Flower, Stem, Leaves and Roots, Leaves and Roots! πΆπ»
1A had an engaging Science lesson learning about the different parts of a flowering plant. First they created their own plants and then labelled the different parts! It was all very FUN!
They even learnt a new song to help them to remember the names of each part! The children then discussed why each part is important and what they do to keep the plant alive...
