Year 1 thought about how we could help to look after animals in our local area. We saw lots of birds and decided to make bird feeders to help them find food during the winter. We reused plastic bottles to make our bird feeders and we hung them all around our school grounds.

Red Riding Hood Hotseating
The children have been enjoying studying the traditional tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Today they became characters from the story and answered questions posed by their classmates. Year 1 thought of some super questions to ask!

Tree Boggarts
This afternoon Year 1 had a creative time in the school forest making Tree Boggarts out of clay and natural materials. See if you can spot our Boggarts next time you visit the forest.

African Drumming
African Drumming Workshop
Year 1 had an exciting time today.
We learned how to play Djembe drums.
We played rhythms.
We even joined in an African call and response chant!
Trip to Wyre Forest
Year 1 had a fantastic time at the Wyre Forest.
Sarah and Jude told us interesting facts about the forest.
We collected different colours and textures from the forest floor.
We used natural found objects to create patterns in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.
We explored the forest and played on the playground.
What a great day!
