As part of Welford's celebration of Black History Month, 1A have spent the whole week learning about Rosa Parks and her important role in changing segregation laws in America.
We created posters to use during our fabulous protest that surely turned a few heads around school! Along the way we asked for equality, freedom and peace! ✌💪👍
We have really enjoyed learning about Rosa Parks! Do you know any significant people in black history?
At first I wondered what all the noise in the corridor was! Well done Year 1 for looking at Equality and linking it to Black History month. A memorable way to remember those who fought for Equal rights.
